Overview

PRECISE Events International was tasked with organising a Split Incentive Programme for a leading Technology company, featuring two of Spain’s most vibrant cities: Madrid and Barcelona. The programme aimed to reward top performers with a high-end, immersive experience across both cities. The itinerary was designed to showcase the best of each destination while offering a blend of luxury, culture, and unique local experiences. The group stayed at the Edition Hotel in Madrid and the Hotel Arts in Barcelona, both renowned for their exceptional service and prime locations.

Problem

The main challenge was to create a cohesive yet distinct experience across two major cities, ensuring that the transition between Madrid and Barcelona was seamless. The program needed to balance luxury accommodations, cultural immersion, and high-end entertainment, catering to a diverse group of international tech professionals.

Solution

PRECISE Events crafted an engaging and luxurious itinerary that highlighted the unique charm of both Madrid and Barcelona. The program was carefully designed to offer a seamless transition between cities while delivering an exceptional and memorable experience for the attendees.

Day 1: Arrival and Welcome in Madrid VIP Arrivals and Transfers: Guests arrived at Madrid-Barajas Adolfo Suárez Airport and were greeted with private transfers to the Edition Hotel Madrid, ensuring a smooth and comfortable journey. Upon arrival, guests enjoyed personalized check-in with bespoke amenities, including custom-branded welcome gifts and a guide to Madrid.

Welcome Reception: The incentive program began with a chic welcome reception at the Edition Hotel’s stylish rooftop bar. Guests enjoyed cocktails and tapas while taking in panoramic views of Madrid’s skyline. This initial gathering provided a relaxed setting for attendees to network and get acquainted.

Dinner at the Edition Hotel’s Restaurant: Dinner was served at the hotel’s acclaimed restaurant, featuring a menu of modern Spanish cuisine with innovative twists. The meal was paired with a selection of local wines, offering a sophisticated culinary experience.

Day 2: Exploring Madrid
Private City Tour: The day began with a private guided tour of Madrid, including visits to iconic landmarks such as the Royal Palace, the Prado Museum, and Retiro Park. Guests explored Madrid’s rich history and culture, with expert guides providing in-depth insights.

Lunch at Sobrino de Botín: For lunch, the group dined at Sobrino de Botín, the world’s oldest restaurant, renowned for its traditional Spanish dishes, including the famous roast suckling pig.

Afternoon Flamenco Experience: In the afternoon, guests attended a private Flamenco show at Casa Patas, one of Madrid’s most celebrated venues for traditional Spanish music and dance. The performance provided a vibrant and authentic cultural experience.

Dinner at a Michelin-Starred Restaurant: The evening featured a gourmet dinner at Ramon Freixa Madrid, a Michelin-starred restaurant known for its inventive and refined cuisine. The dinner highlighted Spain’s culinary excellence in an elegant setting.

Day 3: Transition to Barcelona. Morning Leisure and Travel: Guests had a leisurely morning to explore Madrid on their own before a private transfer to Madrid’s Atocha Station for a high-speed AVE train to Barcelona. The journey offered comfortable travel and scenic views of the Spanish countryside.

Arrival and Check-In at Hotel Arts: Upon arrival in Barcelona, guests checked into the luxurious Hotel Arts Barcelona, located by the waterfront with stunning views of the Mediterranean. Check-in was followed by a welcome cocktail reception in the hotel’s elegant lobby.
Dinner at Enoteca Paco Pérez: The first night in Barcelona featured a dinner at Enoteca Paco Pérez, a two-Michelin-starred restaurant located within the hotel. The menu offered exquisite Catalan and Mediterranean dishes, paired with fine wines.

Day 4: Discovering Barcelona

Morning Gaudí Tour: The day started with a private tour of Sagrada Familia, Park Güell, and Casa Batlló, showcasing Antoni Gaudí’s iconic architectural masterpieces. Guests explored Barcelona’s unique artistic heritage with expert guides.

Lunch at Cervecería Catalana: For lunch, the group enjoyed a meal at Cervecería Catalana, known for its diverse tapas and lively atmosphere, providing a taste of local Barcelona culture.

Afternoon Sail and Beach Time: In the afternoon, guests embarked on a private sailing tour along Barcelona’s coast, enjoying the Mediterranean sun and views of the city’s skyline. The sail was followed by some leisure time at Barceloneta Beach, where guests could relax and unwind.

Farewell Dinner at Tickets: The day concluded with a farewell dinner at Tickets, a renowned tapas restaurant by Albert Adrià, known for its creative and playful approach to traditional Spanish cuisine. The dinner was a festive and fitting end to the incentive programme.

Day 5: Departure and Farewell

Personalised Farewell Gifts: On the final day, guests received personalised farewell gifts, including custom-branded souvenirs and local delicacies from Madrid and Barcelona.

VIP Transfers to Airport: Private transfers ensured a smooth departure from Barcelona-El Prat Airport, with guests reflecting on a memorable and enriching experience as they journeyed home.
